What the free idea validator checks

Every free check scores your idea from 0 to 10 on four questions, then gives one verdict — Go, Test first or Rethink — with a one-sentence reason and the three risks most likely to sink the idea.

Demand
How strongly people already want this (10 = very strong). A high score means people already look for a fix; a low one means you would have to create the need first, which is slow and expensive.
Competition
How crowded the market is (10 = very crowded). A crowded market proves people pay, but you need a sharper angle: a narrower customer, a lower price or one job done better. An empty one can mean nobody pays.
Monetization
How readily customers are likely to pay (10 = very easy). Businesses with a costly problem usually score higher than consumers who expect a free app. If it is low, test a price on your landing page early.
Difficulty to build
How hard it is for a solo founder or small team to build and launch (10 = very hard). High difficulty is acceptable when demand and monetization are high; it is a warning sign when they are not.

What Go, Test first and Rethink mean

Go
The idea looks strong on what the model knows. Build the smallest version that delivers the core result, and keep talking to customers while you build.
Test first
Promising, but something important is still a guess, often demand or willingness to pay. Run a one-week test with real people before you write code.
Rethink
A basic piece does not add up: weak demand, no clear buyer or no realistic way to make money. Change the customer, the problem or the offer, then check the new version.

Read the four scores together, not one at a time, and treat the verdict as a starting point rather than proof: the model has no real-time data, so every score is an estimate from general knowledge. Want a quick “rate my idea” answer? The free check gives you one, with the reason and the three biggest risks.

What is in the full validation report

The full report turns the verdict into a plan you can act on this week. It is AI analysis only: no real-time data, no search volumes and no source links.

  1. 1. Target customer and core pain

Who feels the problem most and how they describe it.

  2. 2. Market and demand signals

Search phrases and communities to check yourself, and what counts as a good or bad sign.

  3. 3. Competitors

Known products and alternatives, each marked "verify yourself".

  4. 4. Pricing suggestion

A starting price and how to test it.

  5. 5. Risks and mitigations

What is most likely to go wrong and what to do about it.

  6. 6. One-week validation plan

A day-by-day plan with customer interview questions and a landing-page test.

  7. 7. Go / no-go criteria

Measurable thresholds for continuing or stopping.

How to validate a business idea in three steps

  1. Run the free check. Say who the idea is for, the problem it solves and how it makes money.
  2. Look for real demand. Search the phrases and visit the communities from the full report, and verify every competitor yourself.
  3. Test with people. Run the one-week plan: interviews and a landing page, then decide with the go / no-go criteria.

When to use a market validation tool

Market validation is cheapest before you commit time or money. Run a check:

  • Before you write code, buy a domain or hire help, to see whether the problem is real and who would pay.
  • When you are choosing between ideas: check one idea a day and compare the four scores side by side.
  • After customer interviews change the idea, so you test the new version rather than the old one.
  • Before you pitch the idea to a co-founder or partner, to see the risks they are likely to raise.

An idea tester does not replace talking to customers. Use the verdict to decide what to test first, then let real sign-ups, replies and pre-orders make the final call.

Market validation tool FAQ

What is a market validation tool?

A market validation tool helps you check whether people want a product before you build it. This one is an AI idea validator: it scores your idea on demand, competition, monetization and difficulty, gives a Go / Test first / Rethink verdict and lists the main risks.

Is the idea validator free?

Yes. Each IP address gets one free check per UTC day, with no sign-up. The full validation report is a paid, one-time purchase starting at $4.99.

How do I validate a business idea with this idea tester?

Describe who it's for, the problem and how you'd make money in up to 500 characters. Read the verdict and risks, then use the full report's search phrases, communities and one-week plan to test the idea with real people.

Does it use real-time market data?

No. The analysis comes from DeepSeek's deepseek-flash model and its general knowledge. It does not search the web, pull search volumes or cite sources, so verify every competitor and claim yourself.

What is in the full report?

Seven sections: target customer and core pain, market and demand signals to check, competitors marked "verify yourself", a pricing suggestion, risks and mitigations, a one-week validation plan with interview questions and a landing-page test, and go / no-go criteria.

What happens to the idea I enter?

Free checks are kept for 7 days under an unguessable link so you can unlock the full report for the same idea, then deleted. Ideas that don't pass the content check, or whose check can't be completed, are kept in a moderation record for review. Full reports stay in your private history until you ask us to delete them. Read the privacy policy.
